How to Get Started
Utilizing Empower's "Best Fit System™," we begin by working with key employees to develop a well-defined job description that includes specific tasks, reporting structure, minimum work and educational requirements and preferred personality style that best fits the job and company culture.
Get the Job to Talk to You
The next step is to get the job to talk to you. This is accomplished by identifying a small number of employees with knowledge of the position to be filled and have them spend 45 minutes filling out proifles to identify the most important values, behaviors, and types of tasks associated with the job. Also, high and low performers currently in the same position may also be profiled to better understand the optimal profiles of best fit candidates. After the results are analyzed and discussed, a benchmark for the job is established.
Creating an Effective Interview
Now that the most important employee characteristics are clear, a standardized interview designed to specifically investigate a candidate's style is developed. All candidates vying for the same position participate in a very similar interview process based on these questions which makes it much easier to make apples to apples comparisons between qualified individuals.
From Resumes to Results
After this important ground work is completed, a customized ad is crafted to entice desirable candidates to apply for the position. Once the final candidates are identified, interviews are scheduled. Next, each candidate participates in the structured interview process followed by a comparison of their individual profile results with the job profile. If necessary, questions are identified to be used in a follow-up interview. Together with the hiring team, Empower Consulting reviews all of the information about the final candidates until a hiring decision is made.

Best Fit System™ — Entry level Program
This program is most useful for positions such as production workers, members of a large sales force or other lower salaried positions in the company. These positions are often "repeatable", meaning that this benchmark will be utilized each time a new employee is hired to fill the position. Once the benchmark is created, it can be applied to future hires on a cost per candidate basis.

This program includes the Entry Level Program with the addition of a standardized interview for more accurate candidate comparison. Best Fit System™ — Executive Program
This program begins with the Key Employee Program. It is critical to assess the compatibility between a serious candidate and other managers for high level senior management positions that are part of the core management team. To maximize culture fit, individual managers are profiled and feedback is provided to help the team better understand team dynamics including strengths and weaknesses. Individual candidate results are reviewed in comparison to team results. This process enables the team to identify key candidate characteristics that will enhance team cohesiveness and effectiveness
